Greene County Extension is hosting a series of Ag Coffee events, bringing farmers and other ag professionals together for an informal discussion on current ag topics.
The first Ag Coffee, planned for Friday, Jan. 18, from 9:30 to 11 am will be on the topic of farm succession. Tim Christensen, ISU Extension & Outreach farm management specialist, will share his insights with the group. The gathering will be at the Greene County Extension & Outreach office at 104 W. Washington St in Jefferson.
“Transitioning off the farm can be scary. Don’t’ let your fear of conflict or lack of planning tear your family apart after you are gone. Get started today,” an Extension spokesperson said.
The January meeting is sponsored by Iowa Corn, Greene County and Greene County Bar Association. No reservations are needed. Persons who want more information can call the Extension office at 515-386-2138.
